6.3 Preparing for an in person dialogue
For in person Dialogue sessions we will ask you to complete the following steps.
Confirm arrival information
Please let us know what information the politician may need to know to come to your school. Information like:
- The time you need the politician to arrive for. For example, the Dialogue session may start at 10:00am, but due to the size of the school you need the politician to arrive at 9:45am.
- The person they need to ask for at reception.
- Are there any special instructions on where to go. For example, do you need them to go to Sixth Form Reception on a certain road rather than the main entrance?
Classroom set-up
Similar to the online sessions, make sure you arrange the classroom so all the learners are facing the politician.
Provide photo and video permission
We would love to see pictures of the session and share them on our social media channels and politicians are often keen to take photos when they are at the school.
For this reason we will ask you to complete a photo and video permissions form on behalf of your learners. Similar to the Digital Dialogue events, if you need an individual learner consent form to hand out, a template for you to use can be found in our "programme documents" section on the teacher portal.
If there are any learners who are unable to give permission please make sure they do not appear in any photos or videos you or the politician takes.
