2.3 Who else do we elect (and what do they do)?

Members of Devolved Parliaments and Assemblies
Elected in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to make decisions on things like health, education, housing and transport in their nation.
Directly Elected Mayors
Elected in some city regions (like Greater Manchester or West Midlands) to lead on transport, housing, jobs and regional priorities.
Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs)
Elected in most of England and Wales (outside London and Manchester) to set policing priorities and hold local police to account.
London Assembly Members
Elected in Greater London to check and challenge the Mayor of London’s decisions on things like housing, transport and policing.
