3.4 Prepare

Aims: For the learners to be ready for the engagement with a politician. Learners are give tools to research the politician they will speak to, as well guidance on how to write standout questions.

Qualities: Slide deck, research sheets, question cards, etc.

We recommend delivering one lesson using "prepare" resources with your learners.

Prepare resource example

Our "Politician Research Sheets" encourage young people to have more understanding about the person they are meeting with and to ask questions that are relevant and specific. This is a useful skill for them to practise ahead of voting in elections when they will need to research their own candidates.
