It’s okay if young people think politics is boring – don’t try to change their mind straight away. Instead, try to find what does interest them. Whether it’s sport, music, housing, or the cost of living, there’s usually a way to link their interests to decisions made by politicians.

Rather than convincing young people to care about politics, help them see how politics already shapes the things they care about. That’s often where real engagement begins.
