It’s natural for young people to ask what you think. You can respond in a way that models openness while keeping the focus on them:

You can also say:
I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that issue – it’s complex, and that’s okay.
This shows that having political conversations doesn’t mean having perfect answers – it means thinking critically and listening well.
